    Lawrence began his career in real estate in 1978 right after graduating from the University of Oregon. He was introduced to real estate by his college friend Mike Hasson who was working for Shelter Properties at the time, along with Barbara Sue Seal and many other of today's top Portland area Realtors. 

    His first sale was a mobile home on five acres outside of Oregon City that he sold for $13,500.  Since then Lawrence has been involved in over 6,000 transactions valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars in real estate. He has owned a mortgage company that he built up to having  offices in four Western States, and he pioneered the "Short Sale" niche of the business 20 years ago during the last real estate down turn. He's been called upon as an expert witness in matters pertaining to real estate finance, and he aided the FBI in the arrest and conviction of perpetrators of loan fraud against federally insured savings institutions in Southern California.

    Real estate has always been an exciting and challenging field for Lawrence.  He is an eager student of the economy and its effect on the housing industry. His opinions on the direction of the real estate market have had him interviewed on radio and television and quoted in the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register and San Diego Tribune. He was also invited to write the article on "Short Sales" for the "Riverside Lawyer Magazine" the official publication of the Riverside Bar Association for the issue devoted to foreclosure.

    Besides being well abreast of the technical side of the market Lawrence is also a trained negotiator having gone through the rigorous Xerox Negotiation Training offered during the 1980's. The experience that Lawrence has gathered over the years has helped many other real estate agents and loan officers reach levels in their careers that would not have been possible without his mentoring.

    Bernadette Radie is enjoying her 19th year as a full time real estate professional. She began her career in 1991 with Prudential California Real Estate where she quickly became the top producer of over 400 agents.     As a systems specialist Bernadette developed the action plans utilized by everyone on the Bernadette & Belland team.  She also made them accessible over the Internet so that the business can be watched over from any place in the world.  Additonally, she developed the client retention and client care systems that insures nothing drops between the cracks before, during and after a transaction, and allows their team to effortlessly handle as many as 200 transactions simultaneously. As a student of the market Bernadette also shoulders the responsibility of establishing property values for their listed properties, and alerting their clients to any economic influences that might effect their real estate values.

    Bernadette has also acheived the CRS designation from the Council of Residential Specialists which is the most respected and rigourous designations a Realtor can earn.  Additionally, Bernadette was one of the first agents in the nation to receive her E-Pro designation which indicates her grasp of technology and how it pertains specifically to the real estate industry.

    Katie was licensed in 2005 and started her real estate career in new homes sales.  She joined Bernadette & Belland in 2006 as a full time licensed receptionist and now, almost four years later, has risen to the "Director of Client Care" position where she is in charge of all aspects of maintaining the Bernadette & Belland client care standards as established by Bernadette Radie.

    Besides our buyer and seller clients Katie also insures that the cooperating broker inquiries pertaining to one of our listings are answered quickly and accurately.   Additionally, she responds to all offers and counter offers, prepares listing packages, keeps our clients and cooperating brokers updated on our in escrow transactions, and coordinates the efforts of the negotiation department for our REO and Short Sale listings.

    At the end of the day, Katie's biggest reward is knowing that our client's and peers alike have experienced service rarely found in the real estate profession.

    David Malorny is the Senior Escrow Officer of our non-independent escrow company - Fidelity Mutual.  In addition to handling the intricacies of escrow, he answers questions and provides guidance not only to our clients, but for the cooperating brokers and their clients, as a transaction moves through the different stages of escrow including the title report, loan documents, inspection reports, as well as for the paperwork pertaining to the purchase agreement. David also works closely with the team's Negotiators making sure that the paperwork required to get a "Short Sale" approved is complete and accurate.

    David has over 7 years in the real estate business with experience in transaction coordination, loan processing, loan origination, sales, title and escrow. David's solid background has repeatedly proven to recognize potential problems early on and take the steps to prevent them.

    After many years in the retail software sales industry Jennifer felt she needed to be involved in an industry more mentally stimulating; something where the rewards would only be tied to her efforts, and not the number of hours she worked. 

    After considering a number of industries Jennifer decided to become involved in Real Estate Sales. After earning her Brokers license in 2003 she started selling new homes for one of the largest home builders in Oregon.  She became immediately smitten with the complex process of selling, and acquiring real estate, and has not once doubted her decision to become a real estate professional ever since.

    Erica started working in the real estate business at the age of 6 when she would carefully apply the postage stamps to her Dad's marketing letters. Now, 14 years later, Erica is a full time student at Saddleback College where she's taking the core classes necessary to take her California Real Estate license exam.

    Not wanting to give up the experience and "buzz" of the business Erica still spends three days a week in the office where she assists with the marketing, property verifications, tenant postings, sign ups, and whatever else she can do to enhance the Bernadette & Belland experience for their clients.
